MEDITATION, MINDFULNESS AND FLOW.
Meditation, or mindfulness, is often misunderstood. There are two ways to enter meditation. One is to be a witness of sensation, feeling and thoughts. The other is to be totally present in any action, or experience, no matter what it is. This opens up what is known as a ‘flow’ state. When we are in flow state, awareness naturally follows.
To explore meditation, mindfulness and flow is to be grounded in who we are, to be engaged in a practice that opens up our innate capacity for wisdom and healing.
When we return to the very heart of who we are, whether we know it or not, we have entered a state of meditation, mindfulness or flow.
Contemporary life makes it difficult to sit still and be a relaxed witness of our minds, bodies and feelings. To try to do so generally creates more stress than stillness. However, if we first do something that we love, with absolute totality – stillness and relaxation naturally follows. To experience this state is to come home to our own source of wisdom, wholeness and health.
Each person’s journey into meditation, mindfulness and flow is unique. What works for one person doesn’t work for another. We each have to find our own way into the core of our being.
